Windows Media Player – WMP.EXE and WMP.DLL

Wmp.exe is the main executable for the Windows Media Player. Wmp.dll is the Windows Media Player core DLL. As you might guess, these files install with your Windows Media Player. Files called wmvdmoe.dll and wmsdmoe.dll will also appear on your system. These files don't necessarily need to be running all the time but they will appear when Windows Media Player is running.
