Multiple Programs – DRVMON.EXE

Drvmon.exe is a utility that installs with the drivers for many USB based flash drives or memory cards. It monitors your USB port waiting for you to plug in your portable storage device. This file will appear in your Windows\System or System32 folder. It's safe to have around.

Drvmon.exe also installs with a program called DeDupe by CellarStone, Inc. DeDupe, a duplicate file finder tool, assists users to find and remove duplicate files on your system. It promises to find and remove duplicates regardless of the filename. More information can be found at http://www.cellarstone.com/dedupe.htm. This file doesn't necessarily need to be running all the time. It can be launched when needed via Start > Programs.
