Prism Deploy – PRISMSVR.EXE

Prismsvr.exe provides the Prism XL Service for PictureTaker, PrismPack and Prism Deploy. PictureTaker by Lanovation was taken over by New Boundry Technologies who renamed the program to Prism. These programs are used to install and update software on every local, mobile, and remote PC, laptop, or server across your entire organization. If you use these services, please leave this file in place.

Unfortunately this program can be used to deploy unwanted software or information. So if you didn't isntall it and you don't know what it's doing on your system, it may be in use by an adware entity. In this case, we'd recommend uninstalling it or removing it using WinPatrol. More information can be found at http://www.newboundary.com/sds/sds.htm.

Less commonly, a file called Prismsvr.exe installs with the Siemens Gigaset USB Adapter.
