Multiple Programs – QTFONT.QFN, QTFONT.FOR

If you have Quicktime or Itunes installed and if you're running WinPatrol 10.x or later, you may see fonts called qtfont.qfn and qtfont.for in your Hidden Files list. These files will appear in your Windows folder. Qtfont.qfn is actually a renamed Truetype font.

We've also seen instances of qtfont.qfn infected with Trojan.Downloader.Agent.BQ. More information on this Trojan can be found at http://www.sophos.com/security/analyses/trojagentbq.html. So if this file appears on your system and you don't run QuickTime or ITunes, we'd recommend removing these files using WinPatrol. First, kill them under Active Tasks then remove them from your Startup Programs and/or IE Helpers. If running WinPatrol 8.x or later; right click each file then select "Delete file on Reboot". Finally, reboot your system.
